Have you ever noticed,
that we really don’t do much else
but spend our time in anticipation
and that we cannot live without
looking forward to something?

When I was a little girl,
I was tremendously looking forward to LIFE.
I waited, that suddenly quite unexpectedly
this LIFE would begin.
A curtain opens and there comes LIFE.
There came many things,
but it was not the real thing.
Somehow this was not LIFE.

– Milena Jesenska
